Some sites are separated by stands of trees, while others are open with trees for shade. All are suitable for RVs. Camp alongside the Vermilion River Reservoir to enjoy activities year-round. This large campground is found in Wabamun Lake Provincial Park, 3 km east and 1 km south of Wabamun off Hwy. 16A. There are about 275 treed sites here, including unserviced and power sites. You`ll find trails for hiking and biking and a large beach and waterfront for swimming, boating, and sailing.<br>Golf course adjacent to park. Showers: $2.00/5 minutes; showers close for the season in mid-October.

This foothills campground is found in Waiparoud Creek Provincial Recreation Area, 13 km west of Cochrane on Hwy. 1A and 36 km north on Hwy. 40. Here you can enjoy fishing and hiking as well as OHV trails nearby. Registered campers may off-load and travel to OHV trails from their campsites.<br>Opening date subject to snow levels. Camping season may extend into November, weather-permitting.Water is available from a hand pump at this site. Although Alberta Parks strives to maintain water quality, we recommend that you bring your own drinking water.
