This gem amongst the wilderness consists of a large campground, sites with/without power, walk-in tent sites that are located at the end of a peninsula, and Day Use sites conveniently located near the Concession/Store. McLeod Lake is stocked annually with the ever sought after Rainbow Trout. Many amenities/activities are available here: playground, beach, boat launch, fishing on the shores, lake wall or by boat, hiking trails, bird watching, and winter activities of snowshoeing and ice fishing.

Discover the beauty of Alberta`s southern Rockies from this campground in Castle Provincial Park. It is 20 km west of Pincher Creek on Hwy. 507, 16 km south on Hwy. 774 and 6 km west on an access road. Sites are surrounded by open, mixed forest along the  Castle River, with a few sites right along the river. A beautiful spot to swim, fish, or go exploring.<br>Opening dates are subject to weather conditions. Campsites are first come-first served.  Self-registration is in effect with camping fees paid by cash or personal cheque only.You are expected to bring your own water. Government of Alberta

Castle River Bridge Campground, Castle  Provincial Park

Crowsnest

This little campground is along the Castle River in Castle Provincial Park. It is 20 km west of Pincher Creek on Hwy. 507, 16 km south on Hwy. 774 and 1 km west on an access road. Sites are suited to tents and RVs and are located along the river. Here you can fish or hike, and paddlers with advanced moving water experience can play on the river. There are informal OHV trails in the vicinity. Please keep OHVs on trailers while in the recreation area.<br>Opening dates are subject to weather conditions. All camp sites are first come-first served.  Self-registration is in effect with camping fees

Cataract Creek Campground, Cataract Creek Provincial Recreation Area

This is a large campground found in Cataract Creek Provincial Recreation Area, 45 km southwest of Longview on Hwy. 541 and 12 km south on Forestry Trunk Road. There are over 100 unserviced sites suitable for tents and some RVs. Enjoy hiking in the lodgepole pine forest or try fishing in the creek.<br>Firewood available for purchase on site from the campground manager.Water is available from a hand pump at this site. Although Alberta Parks strives to maintain water quality, we recommend that you bring your own drinking water.Nearest sewage disposal station at Highwood House.
