Lillian Lake Backcountry Camping, Spray Valley Provincial Park

<br>Lillian Lake Backcountry Campground is closed until August 4, 2017. Bear resistant storage lockers and other campground facilities which were damaged in an avalanche are being repaired.Of the 15 sites at Lillian Lake, 9 are raised wooden tent pads equipped with cables and hooks to attached your tent and fly. The cables slide and can be tightened. Click on the images of the tents on raised pads at right to see them in action.

Lower Lake Campground is in Peter Lougheed Provincial Park, 50 km south of Hwy. 1 on Hwy. 40 and south on Kananaskis Lakes Trail. There are 95 well-treed sites, most of which are suitable for both RVs and tents. Access to the Kananaskis Lakes, hiking and mountain biking trails and paved paths are nearby.<br>Visa and MasterCard accepted; pull-through sites available; on-site manager and caretaker; season dates subject to snow levels.Firewood available for purchase on site from the campground manager or at Boulton Creek campground store.












Mount Sarrail Walk-in Tenting Campground, Peter Lougheed Provincial Park

Mount Sarrail Walk-in Tenting Campground is in Peter Lougheed Provincial Park, 50 km south of Hwy. 1 on Hwy. 40 and south on Kananaskis Lakes Trail. There are over 40 well-treed walk-in tenting sites here (no RVs). From here there is close access to the lakes for those hoping to canoe, fish or go boating. There are also many hiking, mountain biking and paved trails nearby.<br>Limited number of bear-proof food storage lockers; on-site manager & caretaker. Point Backcountry Camping, Peter Lougheed Provincial Park

Point Backcountry Campground is in Peter Lougheed Provincial Park, 50 km south of Hwy. 1 on Hwy 40 and south on Kananaskis Lakes Trail. The closest access is at North Interlakes Day Use. It is 3.4 km from the trailhead via Upper Kananaskis Lake Circuit. It can also be accessed by boat, but there are no docking or mooring facilities so light watercraft can be pulled up on shore. Enjoy beautiful lake and mountain views at this scenic site. Tent sites are scattered amongst the forest at the lake`s edge. There are firepits and firewood, pit/vault toilets, and secure food storage lockers here.












Ribbon Lake Backcountry Camping, Spray Valley Provincial Park

Ribbon Lake Backcountry Campground is in Spray Valley Provincial Park. There are several different ways to access it, including trail heads at Buller Mountain Day Use, Galatea Day Use, and Ribbon Creek Day Use. Note that there is a very steep section of trail with chains to aid climbing between Ribbon Falls and Ribbon Lake. Ribbon Lake is a gem tucked away in the heart of Spray Valley. Enjoy the peace and tranquility at this site. Here there are tent pads, group fire pits, firewood, pit/vault toilets, and secure food storage lockers.












Spray Lakes West Campground, Spray Valley Provincial Park

Spray Lakes West Campground is found in Spray Valley Provincial Park, 16 km south of Canmore on the Smith Dorrien/Spray Lakes Trail (Hwy. 742). Once you visit this peaceful campground on the shores of the Spray Lakes Reservoir, you may never want to leave! There are sites suitable for both RVs and tents, many of which are very close to the lake. It is 10.3 km from the trailhead via Upper Kananaskis Lake Circuit/Three Isle Lake Trail. Tent sites are scattered amongst the trees above the lake. Enjoy beautiful lake and mountain views at this scenic site. No fires permitted. There are pit/vault toilets and secure food storage lockers here.













Turbine Canyon Backcountry Camping, Peter Lougheed Provincial Park

Turbine Canyon Backcountry Campground is in Peter Lougheed Provincial Park, 50 km south of Hwy. 1 on Hwy. 40 and south on Kananaskis Lakes Trail. The closest access is at North Interlakes Day Use. It is 15.1 km from the trailhead via Upper Kananaskis Lake Circuit/Three Isle Lake/Maude-Lawson Trail. Enjoy beautiful mountian views, streams and meadows on the way to this scenic spot. Tent sites are nestled in the forest beside Maude Creek. No fires permitted. There are pit/vault toilets and secure food storage lockers here.
