Brazeau River Campground, Brazeau River Provincial Recreation Area

Brazeau River Campground, in the Brazeau River Provincial Recreation Area, is 72 km north of Nordegg on Forestry Trunk Road (Hwy. 734). This small, treed campground along the Brazeau River has a cook shelter and provides opportunities for activities in the surrounding area. These include canoeing/kayaking, fishing, horse riding trails, and OHV trails (outside the recreation area).<br>Recent changes to the recreation area regulation under the Public Health Act have affected provision of drinking water in this provincial campground – we cannot absolutely guarantee that water from hand pumps is f

Brewers Campground, Aspen Beach Provincial Park

Sites are suitable for RVs and tents, and are surrounded by natural forest. There are many amenities available including a boat launch, playground, sewage disposal, flush toilets and showers. Camp near Gull Lake and enjoy swimming, boating, and the beach. Explore the trails and boardwalks for walking, biking, bird and wildlife watching.<br>Only one camping accommodation unit (tent, tent trailer, trailer, 5th wheel, motor home) is permitted on a campsite.











Brown Creek Campground, Brown Creek Provincial Recreation Area

Brown Creek Campground, in the Brown Creek Provincial Recreation Area, is 45 km north of Nordegg on Forestry Trunk Road (Hwy. 734). This small, treed campground provides opportunities for activities in the surrounding area: fishing, mountain biking, OHV trails (outside the recreation area), wildlife viewing and backcountry skiing.<br>Recent changes to the recreation area regulation under the Public Health Act have affected provision of drinking water in this campground – we cannot absolutely guarantee that water from hand pumps is free of pathogens because of the risk of ground water contamina










Buck Lake Campground, Buck Lake Provincial Recreation Area

This small lakeside campground is fishing hotspot. Sites are in an open area but well treed and are close to the lake and irrigation canal. Here you can get away from it all and enjoy boating, fishing and wind-surfing.<br>Do not drink the water - not safe for drinking. Alberta Parks does not recommend drinking water from hand pumps at this location.











Buffalo Lake Campground, Buffalo Lake Provincial Recreation Area

Enjoy some well-deserved time by the water at this campground. Sites are suitable for RVs and tents and have close lake access. Spend your days swimming, fishing, boating or playing on the beach, and your nights relaxing by the campfire and watching the stars.<br>Maintenance services are not provided from mid-September until the campground reopens.Water is available from a hand pump at this site. Although Alberta Parks strives to maintain water quality, we recommend that you bring your own drinking water. The hand pump is not operational during the winter.











Burnt Timber Campground, Burnt Timber Provincial Recreation Area

A pretty little campground found in Burnt Timber Provincial Recreation Area, 13 km west of Cochrane on Hwy. 1A and 70 km north on Hwy. 40. A creek runs through the campground which is nice for swimming or tubing on a hot day. There are sites suitable for RVs and walk-in tenting sites as well.<br>Vehicle-access sites are located on the north side of the creek. Opening date subject to snow levels.Water is available from a hand pump at this site. Although Alberta Parks strives to maintain water quality, we recommend that you bring your own drinking water.





Cache Lake Campground, William A. Switzer Provincial Park
Hinton
This quiet little campground is in William A. Switzer Provincial Park, 3 km west of Hinton on Hwy. 16, 19 km north on Hwy. 40, and a few km east on a gravel access road. Well spaced sites are suitable for tents and RVs and are surrounded by mature trees. Jarvis Creek, a stocked trout pond, Graveyard Lake and Cache Lake are nearby, offering good opportunities for canoeing, kayaking, swimming and fishing. Activities and amenities in the park include a Visitor Centre, beaches, boat launches, trails, interpretive programs, sani dump and showers within short driving distance.<br>Firewood is availab

Calhoun Bay Campground is a local fishing hotspot and boasts tent and RV-friendly sites. Enjoy the shade form the surrounding natural aspen-spruce forest. Launch your kayak or canoe into the lake to enjoy fishing or paddling. Sailing and wind-surfing is also seen here among a prairie-parkland setting.<br>The water is not potable. Do not drink the water.

This northern Alberta lake is calling you to come enjoy hours of fishing, boating, or canoeing.<br>Firewood is sold for $8.00 a bundleNo water available to fill RV’s.The only potable water available is to fill small jugs/pails for use within campsites.Although Alberta Parks strives to maintain drinking water quality at its campgrounds, we recommend that you bring your own drinking water to this site.
