Pierre Greys Lakes Campground, Pierre Greys Lakes Provincial Park
Grande Cache
Four campground loops are found in Pierre Grey`s Lakes Provincial Park, 120 km north of Hinton on Hwy 40 and 32 km south of Grande Cache on Hwy 40. This beautiful park has a series of small lakes, each with lakeside camping. Sites are suitable for tents and RVs, with both unserviced and power options. Take in the scenery while you hike, birdwatch, mountain bike on the 48 km of trails, or go boating or fishing on the collection of peaceful lakes.<br>Joachim Loop has unserviced campsites. Wanyandie, Moberly and Delorme Loops have campsites with power. First Come-First Serve sites are: Wanyandie












Pigeon Lake Campground, Pigeon Lake Provincial Park

This large campground boasts spacious sites surrounded by mixed forest that are suited to tents and RVs. There are unserviced, power, and power/water/sewer options, as well as a few sites with lake views. There are many amenities here including showers, flush toilets, boat launch and playground. Enjoy beach and water activities and hike or bike on shady forested trails. If you prefer not to rough it, check out the comfort camping sites where you can stay in a fully furnished yurt.<br>Coin-operated showers cost $1.00. WINTER: Some winterized sites in Loop A (a minimum of 6) are open year-round.

<br>Pine Bay group use area contains 10 walk-in tenting sites with tent pads; the site can also accommodate up to 8 RVs in the upper parking lot. 2 night minimum reservation is required for Friday & Saturday nights. A $50.00 key deposit is required to be paid at the Gregg Lake Campground Booth at check in, and will be returned at checkout. Discounts are available for youth groups only. Firewood available for sale $8/bag at Cache Lake Campground, Switzer Park Visitor Centre and Gregg Lake Campground Booth, hours vary and during peak season only. Boat launch is at Jarvis Lake Day Use Off Season












Pinehurst Lake Campground, Lakeland Provincial Recreation Area

Pinehurst Lake Campground is located in Lakeland Provincial Recreation Area, 17 km south of Lac La Biche on Hwy. 36, 5km east on Hwy. 55, 3km north on Range Rd. 132, 19 km east on Township Rd. 652, and 7km north on access road. Pinehurst is a favourite destination for local anglers, and has a staging area outside of the campsite for OHV use for the trail network throughout Lakeland PRA.<br>Pinehurst Lake is a favourite destination for local anglers. <br>Water is available from a hand pump at this site. Although Alberta Parks strives to maintain water quality, we recommend that you bring your own drinking water. Walk-in tenting only. Senior/youth group discounts mid-week only. One vehicle permitted on-site in case of emergency. Opening date subject to snow levels.












Point Backcountry Camping, Peter Lougheed Provincial Park

Point Backcountry Campground is in Peter Lougheed Provincial Park, 50 km south of Hwy. 1 on Hwy 40 and south on Kananaskis Lakes Trail. The closest access is at North Interlakes Day Use. It is 3.4 km from the trailhead via Upper Kananaskis Lake Circuit. It can also be accessed by boat, but there are no docking or mooring facilities so light watercraft can be pulled up on shore. Enjoy beautiful lake and mountain views at this scenic site. Tent sites are scattered amongst the forest at the lake`s edge. There are firepits and firewood, pit/vault toilets, and secure food storage lockers here.












Police Outpost Campground, Police Outpost Provincial Park

Enjoy the scenery at this campground in Police Outpost Provincial Park, 10 km south and 23 km west of Cardston on Hwy. 2. Well-spaced sites are suitable for tents and RVs and natural poplar forest provides privacy. Relax and spend lazy days fishing from your boat, canoe or shore. It`s a great spot for watching water birds and other wildlife, or taking a hike along the forested shoreline.<br>. Random sites in day use parking area available for winter camping.You are expected to bring your own water. Government of Alberta regulations require that water from pumps/taps like the one located here N

Prairie Creek Campground, Prairie Creek Provincial Recreation Area
Rocky Mountain House
Prairie Creek Campground is found in Prairie Creek Provincial Recreation Area, 41 km southwest of Rocky Mountain House on Hwy. 752. A good fishing creek runs through the campground. There are about 50 well treed sites, with a few next to the creek.<br>This is an unserviced campground. Please remember to bring your own firewood to enjoy your stay.Recent changes to the recreation area regulation under the Public Health Act have affected provision of drinking water in this campground – we cannot absolutely guarantee that water from hand pumps is free of pathogens because of the risk of ground wat
