Williamson Campground, Williamson Provincial Park

Valleyview

Williamson Campground is found on the south shore of Sturgeon Lake in Williamson Provincial Park, 17 km west of Valleyview on Hwy. 43 and 2 km north on an access road. There are multiple options for camping, including pull-through, unserviced and powered sites nestled in the trees. Here you can go sailing, wind surfing, fishing or canoeing. Or enjoy the beach, go for a swim and spend evenings around the campfire.<br>There are 14 pull-through campsites. This is a self-registration campground. This campground is found in Winagami Lake Provincial Park, 20 km north of High Prairie on Hwy. 749, 10 km west on Hwy. 679 and 7 km north on an access road. A boat launch and pier make it a good choice for campers wanting easy access to the water. This is a popular spot for all kinds of water sports. Constant breezes make it an ideal place for sailing and wind surfing.<br>All campsites are first come-first served.  Self-registration is in effect with camping fees paid by cash or personal cheque only.Campfires are prohibited.

This large campground is in Wyndham-Carseland Provincial Park, 2 km east and 2 km south of Carseland on Hwy. 24. Sites are suited to tents and RVs, with trees and shrubs providing shade and privacy. Camp along the Bow River, where you can fish, canoe, or explore the nature trail along the river. Group camping and comfort camping sites can be reserved here as well.<br>This is a self-registration campground.The sewage disposal fee is $6.00 (one and two dollar coins, and quarters accepted).

Youngs Point Campground, Youngs Point Provincial Park

Valleyview

This large campground is on the northwest shore of Sturgeon Lake in Young`s Point Provincial Park. It is 26 km west of Valleyview on Hwy. 43 and 10 km northeast on an access road. There are a variety of sites suited to RVs and tents, including unserviced, powered, and lakeside options. The campground is surrounded by mixed-wood forest and most sites are well-treed. Explore the trails for walking, mountain biking and cross-country skiing through the forest. Enjoy sailing, boating, water skiing and other water activities. An observation deck at the beaver pond is a great spot for bird watching.<
