Gregg Lake Campground, William A. Switzer Provincial Park

This large campground is found in William A. Switzer Provincial Park, 3 km west of Hinton on Hwy. 16 and 19 km north on Hwy. 40. Sites are suitable for both RVs and tents, including unserviced, powered, power/water, and pull-through options. Most sites are surrounded by mature trees for privacy, with one loop located right next to Gregg Lake. There are playgrounds, a boat launch, dock and swimming area. This campground also has showers, interpretive programs, hiking and biking trails, and a small campground store. Within the park there is a Visitor Centre, beaches, power boating opportunities













Gregoire Lake Campground, Gregoire Lake Provincial Park
Ft. McMurray
This lovely campground is in Gregoire Lake Provincial Park, 19 km south of Ft. McMurray on Hwy. 63 and 10 km east on Hwy. 881. Sites are nicely situated in mixed forest near the lake, and are suitable for tents or RVs. There are unserviced and powered sites and many amenities here, including a store, flush toilets, showers and a playground. Explore the lake and mixed wood forest on mountain bike, by boat or canoe, or on foot. Relax at the beach and swimming area, or try your luck fishing.<br>Gregoire Lake Campground, Day Use Area and Group Use Area are temporarily closed for reconstruction. O












Gunderson Meadows Campground, Two Lakes Provincial Park

Gunderson Meadows Campground is in Two Lakes Provincial Park, 140 km southwest of Grande Prairie on Two Lakes Road. It is located on the east shores of the North Lake. At Gunderson Meadows there are sites suitable for RVs and tents, including some with a beautiful lakeside view. Surrounded by forested foothills, this remote park offers fishing, wildlife viewing, and many km of hiking on informal trails.<br>This is a self-registration campground. Payment can be made by cash or personal cheque (payable to “Government of Alberta”). Credit cards are NOT accepted as payment.Water is available from












Halfway Campground, William A. Switzer Provincial Park
Hinton
Halfway and Graveyard Lake campgrounds are found in William A. Switzer Provincial Park, 3 km west of Hinton on Hwy. 16, 19 km north on Hwy. 40, and a few km southeast on a gravel access road. These two small camping areas include open sites suitable for RVs and tents. Many sites back directly on to Jarvis Creek. Graveyard Lake and Cache Lake are both within short walking distance on interpretive trails, and provide a peaceful setting for paddling or fishing. A stocked trout pond is nearby as well. Hangingstone Campground, Hangingstone Provincial Recreation Area
Ft. McMurray
Hangingstone Campground is located in Hangingstone Provincial Recreation Area, 35 km south of Fort McMurray on Hwy. 63. Camp amongst the trees at this campground with basic facilities and sites suitable for tents or RVs. Bring along your binoculars for sighting raptors and other songbirds in the treetops, and for star gazing after dark.<br>Water is available from a hand pump at this site. Although Alberta Parks strives to maintain water quality, we recommend that you bring your own drinking water.

Harlech Campground, Harlech Provincial Recreation Area
Nordegg
This small campground is found in Harlech Provincial Recreation Area, 13 km east of Nordegg on Hwy. 11. It is well treed and suitable for both RVs and tents. You can fish in Shunda Creek or in the stocked trout pond. The Shunda Creek trailhead leads to the North Saskatchewan River, 10 km away. There are OHV trails in the vicinity. Please keep OHVs on trailers in the recreation area.<br>Recent changes to the recreation area regulation under the Public Health Act have affected provision of drinking water in this campground – we cannot absolutely guarantee that water from hand pumps is free of pa








Hidden Grove Campground RV Park
Niton Junction
Located only 150 km West of Edmonton, Hidden Grove offers fun for the whole family. Beach volleyball, horseshoe pits, walking trails and a 9 hole fun golf course are on site. Within walking distance a heated outdoor pool, 3 playground structures, pump track and basketball courts. Open year round and work crews are welcome. Hidden Grove is a perfect place to host a family reunion, camp for a week while taking swimming lessons or just sneak away for the weekend. Seasonal sites are also available.
