Bragg Creek

This large campground is found in McLean Creek Provincial Recreation Area, 12 km west of Bragg Creek along Hwy. 66 and 1.3 km south on McLean Creek Trail. Sites are suitable for RVs and tents, with unserviced and power options. The campground is adjacent to many kilometers of trails in McLean Creek Public Land Use Zone (PLUZ). Access to  many outdoor recreation opportunities in a foothills setting.<br>Loops C & D (Sites 71-170) are specifically designed to accommodate OHV users. Trails from these loops permit OHVs and provide access to the staging area into McLean Creek Public Land Use Zone. V

A relatively large campground in the McLeod River Provincial Recreation Area, 23 km southeast of Hinton on the Robb/Hinton road.  There is camping on the south and north, with the north side having a picnic area on the river front.  Spacious, treed sites along the river make for a lovely base camp for a day of fishing. Medicine Lake Campground is located in Medicine Lake Provincial Recreation Area, 47 km north of Rocky Mountain House on Hwy. 22 and 8 km southeast on an access road. This large campground offers many spacious sites, surrounded by mixed forest and suitable for RVs and tents. There are unserviced, powered, and pull-through sites to choose from. This large campground is found in Moonshine Lake Provincial Park, 27 km west of Spirit River on Hwy. 49 and 7 km north on Hwy. 725. There are many amenities here including powered sites, sewage disposal, a playground, showers, beach, pier, and boat launch. Enjoy swimming and beach activities as well as non-powered and electric powered boating. Fish for trout, hike, mountain bike, or picnic at Jack Bird Pond.<br>For self-registration sites in this campground, payment can be made by cash or personal cheque (payable to “Government of Alberta”).
